Honest answers about our tiles, pricing, production timelines, and policies. All orders are custom made to order — please read the production and shipping sections carefully before placing an order.

Pricing & Quotes
Why don’t you show prices on the website? +
Every project is different — colour, pattern, custom dimensions, assembly, and quantity all affect the final price. We quote every order individually so you receive an accurate figure, not a ballpark estimate. Click ‘Request a Quote’ on any product page or contact us directly. We respond within 24 hours.
How do I get a quote? +
Click “Request a Quote” on any product page, fill in our contact form, or email sales@mymoroccantile.com directly. Share your dimensions, tile preference, and any colour notes. We respond within 24 hours with pricing and a sample recommendation.
Do you offer trade or volume pricing? +
Yes — our Trade Program offers discounts for licensed designers, architects, and contractors. Volume pricing also applies to larger projects. Apply in 3 minutes and we approve within 24 hours.
What are your payment terms? +
All orders: 70% deposit to begin production, 30% balance before shipping. Large projects: Custom payment schedules available on request.
Samples
Sample pricing
Colour samples (all tile types): Free + $75 DHL shipping — glaze colour chips dispatched within 5 business days.
Mosaic samples: $65–$125 + $75 DHL shipping — hand-made to order, approximately 2 weeks production before dispatch.
Sample cost is credited toward your full order.
How long do samples take? +
Colour chip samples are dispatched within 5 business days of your request.

Mosaic samples are made to order by our artisans in Fez — they are not held in stock. Production takes approximately 2 weeks, after which they ship via DHL air (5–10 days). Plan for 3–4 weeks total from request to arrival.
Can I get samples for multiple collections? +
Yes — select up to 3 collections in your sample request, or tell us about your project and we’ll curate the right set. Request samples here →
Why order samples before committing? +
Because all tile is made to order and all sales are final, it is essential to see the real glaze and texture in your actual space under your actual lighting before ordering. Colour on screen is indicative only. We strongly recommend ordering samples for every project, no matter how confident you feel about the colour.
Production & Timelines
Plan ahead — order at least 12 weeks before your installation date
All tile is handmade to order in Morocco. Production time varies depending on order type and factory schedule.
How long does production take? +
Loose mosaic tile: 3–4 weeks
Assembled mosaic panels (8″–18″ interlocking, varies by model): 4–6 weeks
Custom fitted mosaic assembly (24″–48″ panels): up to 8 weeks

Zellij (4″×4″): individual pieces — 3–4 weeks
Hand-painted tile (4″×4″ or 6″×6″): individual pieces — 3–4 weeks
Mosaic borders (12″–18″ long pieces): 3–4 weeks
Terracotta pavers: 4–6 weeks
Mosaic tables: ship in two pieces (tile top + folding metal base) — 4–8 weeks
Small & medium fountains: ship as one complete unit — 4–8 weeks
Large fountains: ship in two or more units — 6–10 weeks

Actual production time also depends on factory schedule at time of order. We confirm your timeline at order placement.
Is your tile in stock? +
No. All tile is custom made to order in our factory in Morocco. We do not hold warehouse inventory. Every order is made fresh — the correct colour, pattern, and quantity for your project.
When should I order to meet my installation date? +
We strongly recommend placing your order at least 12 weeks before your planned installation date. This allows for production (3–10 weeks depending on type), shipping (5–10 days air or 6 weeks maritime), customs clearance, and delivery.
Can you meet a tight installation deadline? +
Tell us your installation date as early as possible and we’ll do everything we can. Trade members receive priority scheduling. Rush production is occasionally possible at an additional fee but cannot be guaranteed. Contact us early — even if your project feels distant, a conversation now costs nothing.
Custom Work
Can I customise colours? +
Yes — all our tile is made to order and 80% of our orders involve custom colourways. Submit paint chips, fabric swatches, or Pantone references. Our artisans hand-mix mineral glazes to achieve precise tones. We produce a control sample for your approval before full production begins.
How do pre-assembled panels work? +
For mosaic tile orders, we assemble your mosaic into interlocking panels in our Fez factory before shipping. Panel size is 8″–18″ depending on the model. This reduces on-site installation time significantly.

Custom fitted assembly (24″–48″) is also available — panels are pre-cut and labelled to your exact wall or floor dimensions, numbered for easy on-site placement. Production time: up to 8 weeks.

Note: Panel assembly applies to mosaic tile only. Zellij, hand-painted tiles, borders, terracotta, tables, and fountains do not ship as mosaic panels.
Can you create custom patterns or compositions? +
Absolutely. We work directly with our Fez workshop to create bespoke geometric compositions, custom backsplashes, wainscoting, fireplace surrounds, and fountain installations. Provide your dimensions and vision — we’ll translate it into a factory-ready design.
Craft & Certification
What is the Zellige de Fès Quality Label? +
Morocco’s official quality certification for authentic zellige craftsmanship. Only tiles made in Fez, from local clay, using centuries-old hand-cutting and traditional kiln-firing carry this mark. Every tile we ship carries this certification.
What makes you different from other Moroccan tile suppliers? +
We are the only direct factory-owning studio in the US with the Zellige de Fès certification. We employ the artisans directly. No US competitor combines: factory ownership + Zellige de Fès certification + custom fitted mosaic assembly + full custom colour capability + direct artisan employment.
Are slight imperfections normal? +
Yes — and they are the point. Handmade zellige has natural tonal variation between colour batches, slight dimensional tolerance, and surface texture that machine-made tiles cannot replicate. These are marks of authenticity, not defects.
Installation
Recommendation
Use a tile installer with experience in handmade or natural stone tile. We can brief your installer directly on request.
What adhesive and grout should I use? +
Adhesive: Flexible thin-set mortar designed for ceramic or mosaic tile. For wet areas, use waterproof mortar.

Grout: Non-sanded grout to prevent scratching the glaze. Apply in small sections and clean excess immediately.

Do not use tile spacers for zellij or mosaic — the natural variation in edge spacing is part of the authentic aesthetic.
Do I need to seal the tile? +
Yes. Seal the tiles and grout with a high-quality penetrating sealer, especially in wet or outdoor areas. Use a pH-neutral cleaner for routine maintenance. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaning products.
Can you brief my installer? +
Yes — our team can speak directly with your installation crew. We’ll cover thinset selection, layout technique, grout application, and sealing requirements specific to your tile type. Contact us to arrange.
Shipping & Orders
All sales are final — no returns or exchanges
Every tile is custom made to order. We do not accept returns or exchanges. This is why we strongly recommend ordering samples before committing.
How does shipping work? +
Air freight (DHL): 5–10 business days from our factory in Morocco. Used for most standard orders.

Maritime freight: Approximately 6 weeks. Available for large tile orders of 500 square feet or more. Significantly more economical for large volumes.

Tables: Ship in two pieces — mosaic tile top and folding metal base — via air freight.
Small & medium fountains: Ship as one complete unit via air freight.
Large fountains: Ship in two or more units via air freight.

We manage customs clearance and coordinate delivery to your job site or receiving address.
Do you ship internationally? +
Yes — we ship worldwide. We handle all export documentation from Morocco. Import duties and local taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
What if my order arrives damaged? +
If damage is visible on delivery, refuse the shipment and notify the carrier immediately. Keep all original packaging and send us photos as soon as possible. For minor damage we ship replacement pieces; for severe damage we coordinate retrieval and remake your order.
Can I cancel an order once production has started? +
Cancellations are not accepted once production has begun. Your deposit covers the cost of materials and the artisans’ time already committed to your order.
